GST BENEFITS THE RAKYAT WELL BUT BURDENED THE OPPOSITIONS ONLY

For the opposition, when the present government policies are based on priority to the interests of the people, it becomes a terrible mistake and to the extent, it is a grave sin done by PM Najib’s administration. It seems that they have conveniently opposed their own slogan during their Pakatan Rakyat era that to serve the people was supposed to be their ultimate.

Without doubt, when Pakatan Rakyat is dissolved, their most lauded slogan – ‘For the People’ meant to champion the people’s interests are buried too and this clearly tells us that the oppositions are only interested in electoral votes rather than to serve us.

When PM Najib’s administration imposed the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and subsidies rationalisation, the oppositions wasted no time to deceive us as though it would burden the rakyat. But what the oppositions hid from us is that this policy received an eye opener to Saudi Arabia and India when they wish to emulate our policy. India will implement GST in April next year with the highest rate of 23 percent and Saudi Arabia for the first time will also implement GST.

GST is hence not politically popular but a necessity when the world economy is affected by global oil price uncertainties. Malaysia was once dependent on oil revenue and as we all know, that this commodity production will not sustain forever and they are declining over the years. Therefore, the present government ought to impose GST as was done much earlier by many parts of the world including Singapore who is without natural resources.

Even if the present government has to decide on a politically unpopular decision but it is hence the correct step. Just ask ourselves, if GST is bad for the nation, why would Saudi Arabia and India emulate our policy? In fact, since first introduced on April 1st 2016, an additional revenue of RM41 billion is collected with the rate of six per cent only. In reality, GST is never a mistake but the right policy by the present government.

PM Najib too was told numerous times that the GST will lead BN to lose in elections but even when the oppositions were campaigning against GST during Sarawak states election, BN received landslide victory and the same during went to the twin Parliamentary by-elections in Kuala Kangsar and Sungai Besar. What do these mean?

It is only the leading party BN under PM Najib’s leadership that truly championing the rakyat interests and the slogan – ‘The People First’ carried by BN in their previous manifesto are now proven rather than just mere political lip services. Unlike the oppositions who are fond of offering popularity but in reality, they have nothing to offer.

DR MAHATHIR WILL CONTINUE TO DESTROY ANWAR

Even though Dr Mahathir has presented himself to be despised and reviled during PKR’s REFORMIS MALAYSIA 2017 convention recently, but deep in his heart and thoughts, to destroy Anwar’s politics remains intact. These reformist activists should know very well that Dr Mahathir is very allergy with the word ‘REFORMASI’ that was introduced by Anwar Ibrahim.

Dr Mahathir has never and shall never forget Anwar’s speech in UMNO Johor convention in 1998 where Anwar called members to reform before it is too late as was the case in Indonesia when Suharto was ousted through street demonstrations. Anwar too has urged reforms to the country’s financial system and considered the establishment of “Danaharta” by Dr Mahathir was just an act to legalise “bailouts” of his son Mirzan’s ailing shipping company during the country third financial crisis.

For that, Azmin too is wrong and seems quite hilarious to believe when he recently claimed that Anwar never plotted to bring down Dr Mahathir and no instruction was given from Anwar to do so. However, this is in total contradiction with Wan Azizah and Hishamudin Rais when they claimed that the ‘reformasi’ move has successfully driven into Dr Mahathir’s resignation.

The convention was held to commemorate the 1998 ‘reformsi’ movement and their jailed mentor Anwar Ibrahim. Anwar is sentenced for a 5 years jail to Sungai Buloh for his second sodomy conviction. Prior to that, Anwar once toured the whole country to claim that Dr Mahathir had fired, jailed and bruised his eyes when his position was threatened. Has Azmin deliberately forgotten about these claims too?

APA PUN RINTANGAN, SPAD YAKIN PROJEK KVDT SIAP IKUT JADUAL

PROTON : WHAT HAS MAHATHIR HID FROM US

Before we begin to be too sentimental with Dr Mahathir’s disappointment claiming that the new partner from China will eventually wipe out our automotive pride Proton, a few of the main issues that we need to ask ourselves should be on the business performance when he was the Chairman and why Proton is still in their needy position since they were established for many decades? What has Mahathir hid from us?

Proton is no longer fully owned by the government ever since Dr Mahathir’s blue-eyed boy Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar owned close to 55% shares in DRB-Hicom, therefore it is already a private company. As early as mid-June last year, local and foreign medias have been reporting that Syed Mokhtar himself is fuelled by debt and as at to date, his listed and privately held entities combined long-term borrowings are estimated at RM34 billion.

He is one of Mahathir’s surviving poster boy during his premiership who depended too much on his mercy for government mega projects. The need to raise new capital for the group has gravely failed when banks and other finance institutions were too cautious to extend new loans. Hence, Proton too suffered in their cash flow besides their slumps in car sales and high inventory levels of unsold cars.

Before PM Najib’s administration decided to agree to approve soft loans to Proton, they were bled with more than 2.5 billion debts. Proton had earlier demanded to be bailed out as is customary practised by Dr Mahathir era but since Proton is now a private controlled company, there is no reason to do so and providing soft loans should be most appropriate.

MCA : BAGAIMANA DAP MENIPU PENGUNDI CINA
