Rally a show of strength and support for besieged leader- TODAYonline
Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) is planning a million-strong Reformasi-style protest in Selangor on Sunday to rally support for their besieged leader Anwar Ibrahim. “The party plans to hold a series of demonstrations and rallies, starting with the July 6 rally,” PKR Youth chief Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin told T:oday:. He said the party would “ensure” the safety of its leader Mr Anwar when he addresses the rally in Petaling Jaya. Mr Anwar had claimed his life is under threat. Mr Shamsul said the upcoming rally, originally meant to protest against fuel price hikes, would take on a bigger objective now that Mr Anwar is facing a new allegation of sodomy.

Therefore the rally was merely meant for PKR and they initially claimed as the 'Rakyat's' rally... Wait a minute, all these while Pakatan Rakyat (PR) represents the 'rakyat', the opposition party that consists of PKR, PAS and DAP. What PAS and DAP have to say to this. They have been keeping quite silent about the de-facto leader latest allegation.
“The ‘Save Malaysia’ rally will up the people’s support for a change of government, with Datuk Seri Anwar as the new Prime Minister of Malaysia,” he said in a telephone interview yesterday.
Geramm is made up of Mr Anwar’s opposition Pakatan Rakyat coalition as well as 10 non-governmental organisations.
“We believe the current conspiracy against Datuk Seri Anwar is an issue that’s close to the hearts of many Malaysians,” said Mr Shamsul, who is heading the People’s Movement Against Oil Manipulation (Geramm). Deep Tots :
10 NGOs - who are they? The rakyat wants PR but not PKR... is this some kind of a blunder by PKR?
The movement has undertaken various road shows throughout the country to voice discontent over the 78-sen ($0.32) increase in petrol prices.
Mr Shamsul said Geramm had asked the Selangor Menteri Besar (MB or Chief Minister) for permission to use the state-owned land at Padang Timur for the rally on July 6. “The MB has agreed,” he added. Selangor is now an opposition-held state following the March 8 elections. The rally, originally planned for July 12, had been brought forward for “tactical reasons”, said Geramm. Geramm is also in the process of gathering one million signatures on a petition that is set to be brought up in Parliament on July 7 by opposition MPs, one day after the rally.Deep Tots :
Please get this right PKR... the recent allegation towards DSAI is very personal and very individual... why should the rakyat been dragged into this circus? We need the PR concensus... unless they agree but probably the rakyat wont.

Pakatan Rakyat (PR) will be history.
ReplyDeleteI believe that Anwar is behind this sodomy conspiracy. PAS supporters feel that there is no concrete reason for PAS to stay in PR while DAP & PKR rejecting the idea of Islamic State and some DAP & PKR statements that considered as rude. Lately, it is believe that certain PAS leaders have made their stand to vote for separation from PR and fight on their own. Anwar realised this situation and the only way to save the PR is by creating a political-tsunami to regain support from PAS supporters.
